Pickleball has come to High Vista – come and see what it’s all about!
Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.
The USAPA (USA Pickleball Association) currently estimates there are now over 100,000 players actively playing pickleball and facilities are located in all 50 states.
Pickleball is a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.
It is played both indoors and outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net.
It is played with a paddle and a plastic ball.
You can learn more about the game by going to the USAPA website http://www.usapa.org.
Here in High Vista we have converted one tennis court into two pickleball courts with painted lines and official nets. We have a core group of players but are always looking for more.
We will teach you the game and we have paddles you can borrow.
